“Diglis House Hotel occupies a prime spot along the River Severn, and I appreciate that it's a historical building with gardens. While the location certainly has its charms, I think some rooms might benefit from an update to truly match the riverside setting. Overall, it strikes me as a solid choice for those seeking a relaxed base while exploring Worcester.”

adequate stay by the river
river view variety option helpful staff worn furniture dated bathroom slow bar service
the location was convenient for exploring the area. my room had a nice view of the river. the breakfast was good with a variety of options. the staff was polite and helpful when i needed assistance.
the furniture in my room showed some wear and tear. the bathroom was a bit dated. the bar service was slow during peak hours, as i observed one evening (it took a while to get a drink). the parking lot felt a bit tight to navigate.
the hotel has a bar alongside a large outside sitting area right next to the river severn, a really great location for enjoying the scenery. i found the breakfast options to be good and well cooked, a perfect start to the day. the newly refurbished nook area just off the bar was a nice surprise and a comfortable space. i could easily walk into the city center in about fifteen minutes.
my room needed a little updating to bring it in line with the hotel's generally high standards.

Acceptable But Disappointing Room Conditions
worn arms stale smell
The breakfast was acceptable. It was freshly cooked and the dining hall had nice river views.
The sofas and chairs in the room were noticeably dirty with worn arms. There was a stale smell in the communal area and our bedroom. I saw chipped paintwork and tired decor throughout the hotel. I felt the room needs refurbishment.
